
DRAW CONFIRMED FOR 2025 UK OPEN POOL CHAMPIONSHIP - ROBBIE CAPITO KICKSTARTS TITLE DEFENCE AGAINST KEVIN LANNOYE
The draw has been confirmed for the 2025 UK Open Pool Championship, which returns to the Telford International Centre, Telford, United Kingdom, from 6–11 May.
Broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland, and internationally via WNT TV, the tournament will showcase over 50 nationalities of elite talent from across the globe, all vying for a share of the $200,000 prize fund.

Fans can expect fireworks in Telford as defending champion Robbie Capito begins his title defence against Belgium’s Kevin Lannoye. Capito returns in pursuit of back-to-back UK Open titles after securing his maiden Matchroom Major in 2024. Hometown favourite and former Mosconi Cup captain Jayson Shaw will look to claim his first UK Open crown as he faces Rick Miller of the United States in the opening round.
Eklent Kaçi, winner of the UK Open in 2023, begins his campaign to reclaim the title against Argentina’s Ruben Docampo, while reigning Hanoi Open champion Johann Chua opens his account against Frank Hughes.
Germany’s Joshua Filler and Moritz Neuhausen, both already title-winners in 2025 and former finalists at the World Cup of Pool, begin their UK Open runs against Lauro Catapang and Neil Wilson respectively. Adding further firepower to the field, Skyler Woodward will take on Adam Clarke, and Reyes Cup MVP Aloysius Yapp meets Greece’s Dimitris Siampanis as both chase their first Matchroom Major titles.
This year’s event also welcomes the return of Matchroom Sport President Barry Hearn OBE and Andy Goldstein to the tournament floor. Hearn will meet former European Open champion Mickey Krause, while Goldstein faces Ramazan Akdag in their respective opening matches.
