Carlo Biado made history in 2025 by becoming the first Filipino to win the World Pool Championship twice, defeating the defending champion Fedor Gorst 15–13 in a thrilling final. The victory not only earned Biado his second world crown but also catapulted him to No.2 in the World Nineball Tour rankings.
Biado enjoyed a stellar 2024 season, lifting the inaugural Reyes Cup with Team Asia and capturing two WNT Ranking titles—the Chinese Taipei Open and the RAXX MVP in August—further cementing his reputation as one of the sport’s most consistent and dangerous competitors.
Widely regarded as one of the Philippines’ top talents, Biado’s résumé also includes a landmark win at the 2021 US Open, a third-place finish at the 2022 edition, and a strong fifth-place showing at the 2019 World Cup of Pool.
His first world title came in 2017, when he dominated fellow Filipino Roland Garcia 13–5 in the final of the World Pool Championship, setting the stage for what has become one of the most decorated careers in modern pool.
