Race To Mosconi Cup Concludes with US Open Pool Championship

This week’s US Open Pool Championship at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City is the last event on the Matchroom Pool World Ranking to take place before the cut off for Mosconi Cup team selections.

That means the top two Americans and top two Europeans following the conclusion of the US Open Pool Championship will automatically earn their place at Alexandra Palace, London, this December 7-10.

All events played prior to this year will be removed from the Matchroom Pool World Ranking, meaning things could change dramatically for any players who go deep at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City this week.

Matchroom Pool’s social media and the live TV broadcast from the event will keep fans up-to-date with the latest developments on the rankings.

Team captains Alex Lely and Jeremy Jones, and their vice-captains Karl Boyes and Shane van Boening, will then select three wildcard players each to complete Team Europe and Team USA for this year’s Mosconi Cup.
