As the tour returns to the Sunshine State, fans can expect fireworks from the opening day. World number one and reigning World Champion Fedor Gorst begins his campaign against Franklin Hernandez in an all-American clash. With major victories at the US Open and World Pool Masters in the past year, Gorst will be looking to add another Matchroom Major to his growing collection.

Five-time US Open champion Shane Van Boening begins his hunt for a brand-new American crown against Spain’s Juan Carlos Exposito, while Hall of Famer Earl Strickland looks to turn back the clock as he faces returning World Nineball Tour wildcard and radio personality Andy Goldstein – one of the most talked-about matchups of the round.

Reyes Cup MVP and reigning UK Open champion Aloysius Yapp takes on Brian Brekke, while 2024 Mosconi Cup winner and former World Champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz meets Daniel Ramirez. Hanoi Open champion Johann Chua opens against Rick Miller, and Jayson Shaw returns to the scene of last year’s Mosconi Cup to meet Eliseo Omar Marin Pinto of Panama.

Team USA captain Skyler Woodward kicks off his campaign against Michael Dunn, and former US Open and World Champion Carlo Biado faces off with rising American talent Sam Henderson.

Elsewhere, Eklent Kaçi meets Bobby Garza, Mickey Krause takes on Vietnam’s Dang Hoàng Huy, and fan favourite AJ Manas continues his campaign for a first Matchroom Major title against Lance Schofield.

This marks the inaugural edition of the Florida Open Pool Championship – a brand-new addition to the Matchroom calendar – bringing the world’s elite back to Florida following the electric atmosphere of the 2024 Mosconi Cup.
